Moon Sequence

The Moon Sequence is suitable for all levels of practitioners and is a guided class through the entire Moon Sequence as developed and taught by Matthew Sweeney.

Matthew is an advanced practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga. He developed this sequence as a cooling and therapeutic complement and alternative to the Ashtanga primary series. It is designed to be quite calming, but also energetic in its effects.

The sequence works the entire body, but is particularly effective at opening the hips, shoulders, and sacral areas. Originally created for the times around Full moon and new moon when our energy can be particularly low so you can avoid injury or strain.

This sequence is created for when you are feeling tired or needing a practice, which doesn’t put too much emphasis on the upper body strength or knees.

Open to all levels of practitioner, but is particularly suited to practitioners with Vinyasa flowing yoga experience or Ashtanga primary series.
