About the workshop

In the workshop Noa will teach materials from the repertoire she has created over the years, and through them she will conduct guided sessions of improvisation with tasks to create new and personal raw materials. The workshop will stimulate awareness of space and its surroundings through practical tools of choreography, spontaneous composition and improvisation.

Noa Shadur

Choreographer and video artist. BA in choreography and dance from ArtEZ - Academy of Dance in Arnhem, Holland.

Her last work, "We Were All Alone" for the Inbal Dance Company, was premiered in December 2016.

These days, Noa creates work for the 2017 Screening Festival, which will be staged in November.

 

Her work "Entropy" was produced as part of the "Beakovot" project under the artistic direction of Naomi Perlov and premiered at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in 2015. The work continues to be exhibited in Israel and abroad and has recently been hosted by Pavilon Noir, the residence of Anjouline Pearljucz in France.

Noa presents her works on stages in festivals and cultural events in Israel, including:  curtain up, intimadance, a-genre, international exposure, dance tones, fresh paint, touch point and abroad: Germany, France, New York, Bulgaria, Italy, Holland, Canaries, Budapest and Iceland, among others.

In 2014 Noa was invited to the master's program at the Museum of History of Polish Jewry in Warsaw, where she collaborated with the visual artist Konrad Smolensky, who represented Poland at the Venice Art Biennial (2012). Together they created an art film Field Survey. The premiere of the film took place in March 2016 in Warsaw, Poland.

Noa was awarded the Culture and Sport Minister for Dance in 2009 and 2014. In addition, received scholarships and prizes from the Ted Arison Foundation, Teva and Mifal Hapayis. We Do Not Torture People won the first prize in the International Ballet Competition - No Ballet, Germany (2013)

In 2010, she received the DanceWEB scholarship as part of the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna.

The video work Give Me A Break, together with Shahar Amarilio, won first prize at the Vidance Festival at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, and in other prizes in Berlin and the USA.

Noa teaches and choreographs in various settings: the Maslool- dance training track, ArtEZ - the dance academy in Arnhem / Holland, the dance and music academy in Jerusalem, the kibbutz seminar, the dance workshop in Mateh Asher / Kibbutz Ga'aton. She also teaches composition at the Tel Aviv High School for the Arts between 2007-2011 and the Blich High School in Ramat Gan from 2014 until today.
