I was introduced to the practice of hatha yoga in the Iyengar system through my contemporary dance studies. I was up against everything in about every class for at least a year. Change eventually took place and I started to make connections.

The generous and genius teaching of my teacher sri louise contextualised the asana practice in the study of advaita vedanta and infused it with the wisdom of somatic practices. through this understanding the practice became my sanctuary.

Yoga keeps offering me the means for inner transformation and teaches me how to be in the world.
My path keeps unfolding along the heartlines of my passion, exploring the mystical and metaphysical through the poetic, expressive body.

Throughout class we focus on refining our perception by emphasizing a detailed understanding of alignment. Through embodied anatomical analysis and enquiry into our individual structure we are connecting cognitive processes to the wisdom of sensing and feeling which fosters emotional and mental clarity. Knowing and moving the body in relation with our breath and gravitational forces establishes a strong, fluid center, connecting us to our source of strength, cultivates confidence and a sense of deep relaxation.
