‎Erika Ramberg – Jivamukti Yoga

Born and raised in Seattle, Erika moved to Berlin in 2009 in pursuit of freedom, music, art and adventure.
It was in Berlin that she discovered yoga, and finally found a practice that began to address some of her questions about life, the nature of the mind, and what it means to be free.
Not to mention the joy in discovering a kickass physical practice. An essential part of why we practice yoga asana is because the body is made to move, and movement is fun!
With over 800 hours of Jivamukti Yoga training in Berlin and London, Erika now calls Tel Aviv home. Enamored with the city’s vibrant energy, honesty, and most of all it’s falafels, Erika makes time for a daily practice, and her love of yoga comes through in her teachings- highlighted by keen sense of humor, a hands on approach, a focus on healthy Ashtanga-based alignment, and not taking herself too seriously. She gives thanks to all her teachers for lighting the way on this path.

Erika teaches Jivamukti Yoga. Jivamukti is a physical and spiritual practice, combining a vigorous vinyasa and hatha-based style. It is centered around five main themes: ahimsa (non violence to oneself and others), shastra (study of scriptures and the self), bhakti (devotion), nada (deep listening and music), and dhyana (meditiation).

Jivamukti offers a deeply spiritual experience, but don’t underestimate the asana practice– sweaty and challenging, playful and rewarding. A Jivamukti class presents the opportunity to go deeper into oneself, connecting to the eternal unchanging reality within. The name Jivamukti comes from the Sanskrit word jivanmuktih, wherein jiva is the individual living soul, and mukti is liberation from the cycle and death and rebirth. Thus the Jivamukti method means ‘liberation while living’.

All while having a little fun, too.
