This Friday we will have Jackie hosting traveller Yogini Yani Noerren.
Yani was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and grew up in Hamburg, Germany. She came in contact with meditation and spiritual practice in early age when she was a little child. However, music has always been in her live since she was 4-years-old. In order to draw Yani away from her “exam stress-phase” her mother took her to her first yoga class in 2001. From then on, everything went its path.
In 2012 Yani has met her guru/teacher Manorama D’Alvia that changed her life completely. She immediately knew that she had to continue and study these ancient teaching of yoga with her. Yani discovered her instant connection to chanting mantras and that this would be something significant and special in her life.
In 2013 she did the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training in Rhinebeck, NY. Then finished her apprenticeship program (500-hours) with Tamar Samir from New York at Jivamukti Yoga Berlin. She feels blessed and grateful for Tamar’s limitless dedication and guidance.
Yani is a so-called ‘travel yogini’ and travels around the world teaching asana classes, workshops and playing live kirtan music at yoga studios, festivals and in asana classes in cities such as Berlin, Paris, Bern, New York and San Francisco and other wonderful place all around the world. She feels home wherever she can put down her yoga mat and her meditation cushion and where she meets warm-hearted people with whom she can connect on the heart level.
