Zooz carves minding and wisdom, searching for a wide and wild range of new emotions and thoughts, out of which fresh perspectives may emerge.

'Zooz' in Hebrew has a double meaning: It is a short verb, used to motivate motion in the world of forms, and it describes the agility required to flow between experiences in a less visible, yet very real sense.

Participants of Zooz investigate their own transformation through physical and visceral inquiries. The Zooz Approach allows explorers to ‘speak’ with their bodies, creating accessibility to an intelligence which is unmediated, therefore touching the texture of abstract concepts like ‘plasticity of thinking’, ‘unconditioned inner flow’, ‘soft identity’, ‘spontaneity’ and ‘playing / playfulness’.

Opay L. Goldberg and Matteo Magnabosco met three Christmases years ago in the Berlin performing art scene, collaborating since then and launching these days the Zooz Approach Ensemble.

Opay L. Goldberg is a Berlin based artist, pop-up performer and founder of the Zooz Approach. Opay is teaching, performing, developing and establishing the ZooZ perspective as a medium for self-exploration and transformation. Last fall Opay was invited to India by ‘Attakkalari’ Academy for Movement Arts and Mixed Media as Guest Teacher.

Matteo Magnabosco, originally from Italy and based in Berlin, focused his interests both in Aikido Martial Art and Klein Technik, as the two cornerstones in the architecture if movement. Matteo is increasing the toolbox of Zooz research with a fresh perspective relating to Zooz Camera. The relation to the Zooz Camera as an “Audience Eye” aspires to weave together the observer and the observed, letting them become a happening in unison, a Solo Duet.

The workshop will take place @ Naim Studio, Shalma Road 46, on Friday, December 30, 11:00-13:00.
