Pilates, Before He Invented Pilates
Joseph Pilates was a boxer, surfer, diver, self-defense instructor, and circus acrobat. He was also a hedonist, known to walk around shirtless all day, surrounded by slim dancers. Without a doubt – Joseph Pilates knew how to enjoy life, but we got something out of it too: the method he developed.
Thanks to Pilates, many people now walk the world with a slim body and straight back, not to mention the great health benefits to the pelvic floor muscles. Pilates has been warmly embraced by dancers. But we quickly understood that what is good for them is good for us too. Long limbs and a long life, that’s what everyone wants. Right?
