David born in the United States and began his formal ballet training at the age of 9 with Virginia Ballet Theatre. He received full scholarships to Dance Theatre of Harlem, The HARID Conservatory, School of American Ballet and Miami City Ballet School; where he was trained in Vagonava Method and Balanchine Method of ballet.
Professionally, David worked with Carolina Ballet, Todd Rosenlieb Dance, Miami Contemporary Dance Company and American Repertory Ballet in the United States and also became certified in Pilates.
Moving to Israel in 2009, David began dancing with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company where he danced for 8 seasons; earning the prestigious Yair Shapiro Award.
During this time he began teaching for the Dance Journey Program and for KCDC. In 2020 David became an Assistant Director for KCDC 2.
Since 2022, David became a dancer with Jerusalem Ballet and the Israel Opera.
Classes:
My classes are an experience that of course works on the technical aspect of ballet, but also about “how” you move and “why” you move. It’s just as important for me that everything is done correctly, but there needs to be a reason for it at the same time.
I integrate Pop Music in my ballet classes to feel different tones and textures; to draw out different emotions for the student. I want my students to feel as if they are performing in the class. To draw something out of them that maybe they possibly didn’t think they had inside of them.
