Contemporary Dance

Contemporary dance is an eclectic dance style that grew in the second half of the 20th century, influenced by modern dance, ballet, jazz dance, improvisation, context, and dance traditions from around the world. Unlike closed styles like classical ballet, contemporary dance is dynamic and constantly renewed, reflecting the time and place in which it was created.
The lesson combines technique, movement inquiry, floor work, improvisation and rillies. It requires a prior movement foundation and offers space for experienced dancers who want to continue to develop creatively.
