For me, Pilates is first of all an honest meeting with the body. The mat practice opens up room to hold whoever I am in that moment. The movement it creates, on the mat or with the equipment, helps me check in with how my body feels. I keep deepening my understanding of the joints and muscles that move me, and train them to support me day to day.
Pilates is a way of life for me.
Since my teenage years, Pilates has supported my body alongside a dance track, keeping me vital through my military service too. When I was finding myself after the army, my body and a clear posture were always an anchor I could return to. Through the routine of work and my bachelor's and master's studies in social work, movement kept me awake. Whenever I met illness or difficulty in the body, movement gave me hope and life in every part of me.
After 18 years of practice, I felt I had a lot to give from everything I went through with this method.
In 2018 I studied Pilates mat at Wingate and Pilates equipment with Maya Ben Yaakov-Ashman.
I believe my teaching can be part of each person's path to finding the answers within their own body.
