Classical Pilates is the collection of original exercises that Joseph Pilates himself created and taught. In a classical Pilates class, the exercises are performed in a specific order, with the original choreography and movement direction that Pilates himself aspired to.
In practice, the original exercises and the order in which they are performed do not change from class to class.

It is important to emphasize that despite the effort to preserve the exercises and sequence precisely, there are sometimes variations among exercises in the classical world. These are minor variations that manifest in the choreography of some of the exercises or the order in which they are taught. The reason is that over the years the method was passed from teachers to their students orally, and was therefore subject to different interpretations. The main variations manifest in teaching pelvic positioning, whether or not there is hip rotation, etc.
