Atalia Galina
I'm a dancer, teacher, and practitioner, and movement has been a central part of my life since age 8. I began my work with the body in various dance techniques, and later deepened my engagement with somatic practices, meditation, martial arts, and yoga, through an extended exploration of the body, breath, and attention. For me, the foundation of every practice — Pilates, Barre, or yoga — is listening and breathing. In my classes I invite work that challenges the body from what already exists, enabling development through an attentive, precise, and deepening practice experience. It's important to me to give practitioners tools to identify patterns, blocks, and challenges, and to learn how to work with the body and alongside it. As part of my training, I participated in a 'Posture, Movement and Motor Therapy' course as well as various yoga therapy courses over the years. I welcome practitioners of all experience levels to practice and learn in a controlled and thorough way — including those dealing with injuries, limitations, or physical challenges.
