Maya Katz - a teacher of Tantra Yoga and Yoga Therapy, and a facilitator of group development processes.
Tantra Yoga is a practice focused on purifying the chakras and the body's energy channels, integrating physical, energetic, and meditative work. In the practice we use movement, breath, and presence to move energy, strengthen the life force (prana), purify the body's energy channels, and awaken the Kundalini - the life energy. The practice supports a deeper connection to body and breath and cultivates stability and clarity even amid life's challenges. For me, yoga is a way to come home to the body and the heart. In my classes I invite self-inquiry - slowing down, listening inward, and allowing the body's wisdom to lead the way.
In my Tantra Yoga classes I integrate tools from yoga therapy (trauma-sensitive yoga and women's yoga), creating a space where each person can meet themselves through the practice - to balance, regulate, and gain tools to continue practicing yoga beyond the mat.
