I've been practicing yoga for about 8 years and in recent years have been teaching Iyengar yoga. I trained with teacher Galia Kornfeld and continue to study with her and assist in her classes. In this method we go deep into the postures, with detailed instructions and longer holds. The class builds gradually, and the level of difficulty depends largely on each student's ability to layer in more and more actions — so the classes suit both beginners and continuing students. Students are expected to stay focused and bring their full capacity to the practice, but it's all done in good spirit and with faith in them. Suitable for women with healthy pregnancies, people with mild orthopedic issues, and for both younger and older (healthy) practitioners.
