Omer Kahalon
I teach yoga in the Vinyasa, Hatha, Power and Foundations styles, as well as mat, equipment and barre Pilates.
I started dancing at the age of two and a half, and I have never stopped since. From the world of dance and movement, I found mat training as the freedom within the limit. Over time I realized that when we limit the options within a framework, we do not run out, but rather discover even more possibilities. In my eyes, movement in any form is freedom.
From a young age my practice routine included strengthening in Pilates and barre. I found yoga during the COVID period, and there a feeling arose in me that my soul had found a true home in the body. Through a technique that is no less than an art of many years, I bring my own way, together with more than 20 years of experience in the world of movement and the body.
Our curiosity as human beings, with a beautiful tool like our body, for research and awareness, creates in my eyes an endless game. By combining tools such as concentration, meditation, mindfulness, breathing exercises, an understanding of the skeletal and muscular structure, the nervous system, the fascia and more, we can refine our alignment, and in doing so heal pains and injuries, both physical and emotional.
In my classes we will work with awareness of body alignment, of the midline and of our habits, the healthy and the less healthy. We will adopt new approaches to movement and thinking, and find precise, pleasant and organic movements, from sensation rather than from form.
Alongside the precision, we will release the soul through the breath, and unravel the complexity of life through breathing, living movement. In my classes I speak from my body to the trainees. During the practice I try to focus only on things that I believe can truly benefit us.
I am here to accompany you on the way to finding your practice, your breath and your awareness of yourselves. To help you clear your mind, and find presence in the present moment.
Today, besides being a yoga and Pilates teacher, I am a psychology student specializing in sport psychology. I myself train and explore every day, in order to discover, experience and deepen further, and I am always excited to teach new and interesting bodies and souls.
