Sarit Shatzky
I'm Sarit, and I believe that beyond the classical repertoire, Pilates is a working method: a method of precision and of connection to the breath, for every technique you do afterwards, whether dance, martial arts, or simply living your life. The body learns to work precisely, in a way that serves it well.
In class I combine the classical repertoire with more modern exercises and modifications, moving between different intensities of strength and energy. There are soft, pleasant parts, including the "boring" ones where you learn to breathe and gather your center with precision, and there are more challenging parts. Complex doesn't mean hard, and simple doesn't mean easy.
I also teach rehabilitative Pilates and love adapting each person's level to them, which is why the class suits all levels.
A little about me: I'm a dancer, choreographer and musician, and a certified Pilates instructor (mat and apparatus) with more than 25 years of teaching experience. After 13 years in Berlin I returned to Israel, and today I teach Pilates, jazz and ballet.
