Nice to meet you :) My name is Shai Halevi, I'm a yoga teacher and have been teaching for about three years. I started practicing yoga and meditation 11 years ago, as a child. From a young age I felt the powerful changes that yoga makes in both body and awareness. When I trained, I deepened my understanding of the philosophical texts of yoga. The practice I teach at Naim is dynamic, challenging, and connecting to the present moment. Throughout the practice we accompany movement with breath. We pass through various asanas and gradually arrive at Shavasana — to relaxation. Sometimes we practice pranayama (breathing exercises), and sometimes the class incorporates a little of the philosophy of yoga. The practice works on strengthening, flexibility, flow, and grounding, and above all connects us to the now — which is the essence of yoga.
