Tela Mann Levi
I first encountered yoga around age 30, after I had already been walking the path of Western medicine. I completed my medical studies at Tel Aviv University and was certified as a physician in 2009. That same year I was also introduced to yoga, taking my first class as a student at the studio at Rothschild 4 in Tel Aviv. Since then I've deepened my study and practice of yoga in Israel, Thailand, and India, primarily in the Ashtanga tradition. To me, the inherent repetition of Ashtanga allows you to reach real depth in practice and develop a precise familiarity with the body. My medical background brings an additional dimension to the practice I teach: a deep anatomical and physiological understanding of the body, allowing for precise, safe, and adapted instruction. In my classes I emphasize attention to small details, correct movement patterns, and developing awareness of body and breath.
